EMPLOYMENT
4/3/08 This section was specifically added for prospective employers and recruiters. I have noticed the increase in traffic on my site and see its direct correlation with its presence on my resume. If you are not a prospective employer or recruiter please click one of the buttons below to return to the main site. If you are a prospective employer or recruiter please continue to read.
First of all, this site is 100% G-rated and family-friendly. I only create those types of web sites, and their mention on my resume proves my tremendous sense of accomplishment with them. I believe web site development to be an excellent bonus to a fantastic computer support career. This site is for promotional purposes only and does not make one dime in revenue.
Secondly I want to thank all prospective employers and recruiters for visiting my site. If you truly want to see what your prospective employee/recruit does on the side you may follow the glorious path of Rock Star Gary at your leisure.
Thirdly I have both concerns and complaints about the hiring industry with respect to the computer support role. Currently I am a ten year veteran in the computer support role. I have a Bachelor's degree to go along with my extensive tenure. This type of background should be enough to grant me an interview with ANYBODY! The fact that you ask for technical certifications which are glorified tests for unproven technicians shows disregard for talented individuals like myself. Microsoft tests are means by which Microsoft makes money...PERIOD! Exposure in the field along with a bachelor's degree weighs significantly more than being able to pass 7 tests. It's not like I've spent the last 10 years working for the same company. I have worked for several companies all over these beautiful United States and have relocated a few times in order to work for these companies. I am an honest, hard-working person with tremendous customer service skills who possesses a wealth of knowledge in the computer industry. The other concern I have revolves around security clearance. How in the world am I supposed to get a job that requires security clearance when it's the employer that provides it? I feel that I am being denied a right to work for certain industries due to my inability to receive necessary clearance. I have passed an FBI background check and can pass any background check whatsoever. Please give me the opportunity should the need arise.
Lastly I have growing ambitions beyond the computer support role. I am seeking a position with a company that will be able to assist me with the tuition costs to obtain my MBA degree. Several accredited universities now offer online graduate degree programs so I have the capability of attending school while working hard as a computer support analyst anywhere in the country. My goal in this industry is management. I have learned several good and bad things about management within this field and want to demonstrate my expertise in the near future either during or shortly after completion of my graduate degree. Once again thank you for reading this section. If you have any questions or comments please feel free to contact me here.
